Kern County Fire officials are working to figure out what caused a house to go up in flames in Oildale on Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported just after 4:30 a.m. in the area of Washington Avenue, just off Roberts Lane.
According to fire officials, four people were inside the home at the time, but heard the fire and were able to make it out. Four dogs were outside at the time, but are safe.
Officials estimate $80,000 in damage.
