Juvenile male shot multiple times in Lamont has died

UPDATE (July 22, 2017 8:42p): Family members say that the juvenile shot and killed Friday night in Lamont was 17-year-old Abraham Rubio. A GoFundMe pagehas been set up to help the family with funeral costs.

UPDATE (July 22, 2017 4:29a): On Friday at approximately 8:02 p.m. Kern County Sheriff’s Office Lamont Substation deputies were dispatched to 8100 block of Paradise Road in Lamont for a victim of a shooting. That's near Panama Rd. and Highway 184.

 

Upon arrival, deputies located a male subject suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  The subject was transported to Kern Medical where he later died. 

Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Kern County Sheriff Department is investigating a shooting on Paradise Road and Weed Patch Highway in Lamont.

 

Officials say they responded to the area around 8 p.m. when they found a male juvenile suffering from three gunshot wounds. 

 

The victim was taken to Kern Medical with serious injuries.

 

KCSO does not have a suspect in custody.
