BPD confirms the motorcyclist who was in critical condition following a wreck on Saturday, died on Sunday at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

A Bakersfield man identified as 28-year-old Scott Grego has died after suffering from massive brain injuries after crashing into an SUV Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened after 1 p.m. when an underage, unlicensed, teen driver ran a red light causing Grego to slam into the side of her SUV.

The teen then struck another SUV pulling a trailer. That driver was not injured in the wreck but was driving under the influence and was arrested.

Family members tell 23 ABC, Grego grew up in the Tehachapi area and was known for being kind and generous.

Grego also had a love for motorcycles.

Bakersfield police have confirmed that Grego died on Sunday.

The teenage girl responsible for the crash has not been identified.
