Kim joined the ABC 23 news team in August of 2010 as the Mountain and Weekend Reporter.
She graduated in May 2010 from The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where she received her Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
Shes from a little bit of everywhere. She lived in Boston, St. Louis, Chicago, and Phoenix before moving out to California, which is something shes wanted to do since she was young.
Kim started her career at KAETs Cronkite NewsWatch, ASUs live daily newscast, where she was a reporter and weather anchor. She was also an online and radio reporter while at the Cronkite School. Her reporting has earned her a Hearst Journalism Award and an award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Shes enjoying the cooler weather of California, but is nervous for winter up in the mountains. Coming from the desert, she hasnt been through a winter with snow in quite a while. Shes looking forward to seeing everything Kern County has to offer.
When Kim isnt working she enjoys traveling, photography, visiting family and friends, watching sports, and following politics. She loves football and baseball. The Cardinals, both Arizona and St. Louis, are her teams. And she still loves all things ASU.
