The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 14-year-old boy wanted for what police say are serious crimes.

Detective Mary DeGeare said that Javion Ladon Henry was involved in a strong arm robbery and beating on Sept. 4, around 9 p.m., on the Bakersfield High School campus wherein he and three other suspects were involved in a theft of several victims’ property.

When the victims confronted them about the theft, Henry and the other suspects assaulted the victims with their hands and feet, DeGeare said.

One victim was knocked unconscious and the four suspects continued to kick him causing significant injuries, DeGeare said.

All four juvenile suspects were identified and three have already been arrested on charges of felony assault, robbery conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.

There is an arrest warrant for Henry for these same charges.

Henry is a runaway and investigators have not been able to locate him. He is described as Black male, 14. He stands 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 95 pounds. He is said to have black short hair, and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
