School Bus With 40 Students Hit By Truck

A pickup truck blew through a stop sign Monday afternoon hitting a school bus.

Students went on a wild ride on their way home from North High School after a pickup truck blew through a stop sign and hit their school bus, according to police.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. at the corner of Jewett Avenue and 36th street.

The Bakersfield Police Department told ABC23 that the bus suffered minor damage when the truck drove through the stop sign.

Police said there were about 40 kids on board the bus.

None of them were injured.
