Man Accused Of Taking Pictures Of Woman In Dressing Room

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of viewing a woman in a department store fitting room without her knowledge.Around 1:50 p.m. on Oct. 7, a man walked into one of the women’s fitting rooms at Macy's Department Store, 2601 Ming Ave., and used some sort of camera phone to take a picture of a woman in the dressing room by holding the device under the fitting room door, Detective Mary DeGeare said.When the woman saw what was happening she screamed and the man fled, DeGeare said.
Police are describing the man as a dark complexioned male 18 to 20 years old with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a light-colored sweater, light blue jeans and white shoes.Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect in this case is encouraged to call contact Detective Damon Youngblood at 326-3558.
