Nevada's appliance rebate program has closed but a waiting list is available.

The state began offering mail-in rebates toward the purchase of Energy Star-qualified appliances starting April 17.

Rebate reservations closed on April 29, however consumers can join a waitlist in the event additional funds become available.

Eligible appliances and rebates were as follows:
  • Refrigerators - $200
  • Freezers - $150
  • Washing machines - $150
  • Dishwashers - $100

The program was one of 56 State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Programs, popularly known as Cash for Appliances, that were set up in the United States and six U.S. territories with the help of federal stimulus money.

Nevada received about $2.5 million of the nearly $300 million in stimulus funding available nationwide from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
