Arizona: Cash For Appliances Rebate Program

While an initial round of appliance rebates in Arizona was snapped up within hours on April 12, a new round is now available.
The second round of rebates for qualified Energy Star refrigerators, freezers, room air conditioners, and solar water heaters began July 1.
Rebates vary based on the appliances' efficiency levels. Consumers must self-certify the replacement of an old appliance. Arizona encourages residents to recycle the old appliances.The program was one of 56 State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Programs, popularly known as Cash for Appliances, that were set up in the United States and six U.S. territories with the help of federal stimulus money. Arizona received about $6.2 million of the nearly $300 million in stimulus funding available nationwide from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
