Christine Dinh, East Bakersfield Reporter

Christine joined ABC 23 in July 2008 as a General Assignment Reporter specializing in East Bakersfield. Christine feels honored to be able to represent the East Bakersfield area as their beat reporter. Her passion is covering hard news which allows East Bakersfield to fit her like a glove. However her second passion is doing feature stories which capture the essence of the human spirit, which she believes lives strong underneath East Bakersfield’s tough exterior.

She says “As a reporter, my mission is to give more than news. I am here to give people a glimpse of reality, its joys and sorrows, a treasure of the world around us. I am in a position of privilege to humbly serve the public.”

Christine is a Southern California girl at heart. She grew up in Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to coming to KERO she worked as a News Bureau Chief in El Centro, CA where two of her stories aired on CNN.

On her spare time, Christine loves to explore the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and going to the beach. She also loves cuddling up with her dog Lola and reading.
