BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The art program at Foothill High School encourages students to develop their own art style and technique which requires a lot of independent work.Tracie Gonzales of the International Bachelorette Art class at Foothill High School said they are in need of sewing machines for their program.By completing the program successfully, students will receive college credit and a special diploma for their efforts, Gonzales said.
Some of the students do not always have access to the supplies they need to complete their chosen assignments, Gonzales said.Gonzales said there are a few students who are going into fashion design and some have already been accepted in to various colleges. The school is looking for people or programs who would like to donate a couple of working sewing machines to their cause. If you would like to donate, please contact Tracie Gonzales at 661-366-4491 ext. 73502 or at FHS Rm.C13.
