18-Year-Old Shot To Death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Sheriff's Office said it happened around 9:15 p.m. Saturday when they received a call of a man laying in the roadway bleeding.The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the intersection of Casa Loma Drive and Lotus Lane.He was transferred to Kern Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies said investigation revealed the victim was shot in the 1400 block of Reese Avenue and then somehow made his way over to Lotus Lane and Casa Loma Drive, just about a block away.Witnesses said the victim was seen in an argument over property prior to being shot.No arrests have been made and the Sheriff's office is still investigating.
