Shooting In East Bakersfield Leaves 1 Injured

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Sheriff's investigators are working an overnight shooting in east Bakersfield.Deputies said they arrived in the area of Tate and Niles streets just before 11 p.m. Monday, to reports of assault with a deadly weapon.Deputies told ABC23 that four Hispanic men were shot at, and one of them, a 22-year-old, was hit.
The sheriff’s department told ABC23 that his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.Deputies say it is very early in the investigation, and can not yet confirm if this shooting was gang related.They are asking anyone with information to call the sheriff's department at 661-391-7500.
