Woman Wanted In Connection With Grand Theft

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community's assistance in identifying a woman wanted in connection with grand theft.On Tuesday, a woman said she accidentally left her wallet at the check stand at Foods Co, 2505 Haley Street. When she returned, she told police that it was gone.Police said surveillance video shows a woman taking the unattended wallet and placing it in her shopping basket, then leaving the store.
The woman appears to be Hispanic, 20 to 30 years old. She is said to be 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds.Anyone with information regarding the identity of this woman is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
