'Dark Knight' Tops People's Choice Awards
Superhero Epic Nabs Five Trophies

Holy People's Choice Awards, Batman!"The Dark Knight" soared away with every trophy it was nominated for Wednesday at the 35th annual fan-favorite ceremony.The Caped Crusader superhero epic won five awards, including Favorite Movie, Favorite Cast and Favorite Superhero for Christian Bale and Favorite Action Movie.
The summer blockbuster also scored a PCA for Favorite On-Screen Matchup for Bale's Batman and Heath Ledger's Joker."The Dark Knight" is not only a hit with fans, but industry voters. The film has earned a Best Picture nomination from the Producers Guild, a Best Adapted Screenplay nod from the Writers Guild of America and several notices from the Broadcast Film Critics Association."WALL·E" was also honored, earning a PCA for Favorite Family Movie. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also picked up awards, for Favorite Leading Man and Favorite Female Action star, respectively.Other PCA winners selected by Internet voters in categories spanning movies, television and music included "Dancing With the Stars" as Favorite Reality Show, Ellen DeGeneres as Favorite Talk Show host, Chris Brown as Favorite Male singer.
