Dominique Wilkins leads Team Bosh to shooting stars win during NBA All-Star Game events

Dominique Wilkins hits half-court shot at age 53

HOUSTON. Texas - Dominique Wilkins wins Shooting Stars event during All-Star weekend contests.

The NBA hall of Famer and two-time dunk contest champion showed his talent again Saturday in leading Team Bosh to victory in the shooting stars competition, which opened the nights contest show.

Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh and Chicago Sky forward Swin Cash joined Wilkins in the three-player tournament.

The Western Conference teams dominated the first round of the contest, with Russell Westbrook, Maya Moore and Robert Horry posting the best show of the night. But then things changed.

Wilkins hit the half court shot to advance Team Bosh to the second round from the Eastern Conference.

The second round was much slower. Team Bosh won with a time of 1 minute, 29 seconds, about a full minute worse than Team Westbrook's first-round time.
