LA MESA, Calif. - A dedicated bargain hunter who was asked to leave an El Cajon Best Buy store has found a new place to wait for Black Friday sales.
Rhiannon Buckingham told 10News on Wednesday that she lined up at the El Cajon Best Buy more than a week before the store's Black Friday sale because she wanted to make sure she got the best deal.
"Last year, I came on Tuesday and I was 17th in line," she said in an interview on Wednesday. "They only had 15 TVs."
Buckingham was one of the early birds waiting in line as early as Wednesday for a flat screen television. This year, she said she planned to sleep in her chair outside of the El Cajon Best Buy and switch out with friends until the store's Black Friday sale on the morning of Nov. 23.
However, on Thursday, management at the El Cajon Best Buy store told 10News that mall security demanded that Buckingham and another woman waiting in line leave the property and come back on Thanksgiving.
Buckingham then went to another Best Buy in La Mesa, where she is now first in line. On Friday, another person joined her in line.
Tonight on 10News at 7 p.m., hear about what else Buckingham hopes to purchase and how much money she hopes to save.
