Patriots' Gronkowski Has Arthroscopic Ankle Surgery
Tight End Expected To Recover In 10 Weeks
New England Patriots stud tight end Rob Gronkowski underwent arthroscopic surgery on his injured left ankle on Friday at Mass. General. Sports Business Journal first reported the story on Gronkowski, who is expected to recover in 10 weeks. Gronkowski suffered the injury during the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens. The second-year player was able to compete in Super Bowl XLVI versus the New York Giants, but was held to just two catches for 26 yards.
Gronkowski set NFL single-season records for touchdowns (17) and receiving yards (1,327) by a tight end.
