Flu season may be over but today, there's another illness making its way across the country.
Doctors said a highly contagious and deadly superbug known as CRE is a form of bacteria that's highly resistant to antibiotics.
Doctors said the death rate for patients is about 40 percent.
It's most frequently found in pneumonia, blood infections, and urinary tract infections.
No outbreaks have been reported yet in California.
