Phoenix, AZ -- (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs activated outfielder Alfonso Soriano and left-handed pitcher Scott Eyre from the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday.Soriano went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Chicago's 10-6 victory over Arizona. The All-Star outfielder returned to action exactly six weeks to the day after suffering a minimally displaced fracture of his left fourth metacarpal in his left hand on a pitch from Atlanta's Jeff Bennett on June 11 at Wrigley Field. Soriano is batting .281 with 12 doubles, 15 home runs and 41 RBI in 52 games for the Cubs this season. This was Soriano's second stint on the DL, as he was shelved from April 16-30 with a right calf strain. Eyre is 2-0 with a 4.91 earned run average in 18 relief appearances for Chicago. Eyre last appeared with the club on June 26, as he was placed on the DL on June 28 with a strained left groin. To accommodate room on the roster, the club also optioned infielder Micah Hoffpauir and righty Kevin Hart to Triple-A Iowa.
