Cincinnati, OH -- (Sports Network) - Rickie Weeks had a four-hit day and Jeff Suppan hurled seven solid innings as Milwaukee doubled up Cincinnati, 6-3, in the rubber match of a three-game set at Great American Ball Park.

Weeks finished 4-for-5 and drove in a pair of runs for the Brewers, who won the final two games of the series but remained five games behind the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. Jason Kendall finished 1-for-3 with a two-run single.

Suppan (7-7) surrendered three runs on seven hits in seven innings to pick up the win. The veteran did not walk a batter and fanned three. Salomon Torres earned his 22nd save of the year with a perfect ninth.

Jay Bruce was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and drove in all three runs for the Reds, who have dropped five of six. Bruce also had two outfield assists in the game.

The struggling Homer Bailey (0-6) allowed six runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings to remain winless on the season. Once one of baseball's hottest pitching prospects, Bailey has given up 59 hits and 32 earned runs in 36 1/3 innings this season.

With the game deadlocked at three, Milwaukee went in front for good during the fifth after Weeks got on with a one-out single and Ryan Braun came through with a two-out, run-scoring double to right.

The Brewers carved out some breathing room in the sixth with two more runs. Corey Hart got on with an infield single and advanced to second on Mike Cameron's one-out single. Milwaukee then pulled off a double steal before Kendall slapped a two-run single off the glove of Bailey and past a drawn-in infield.

The Reds jumped on top with a run in the first. Jolbert Cabrera led off with a single to right, swiped second, advanced to third on a Joey Votto grounder and scored when Bruce chopped out to second.

The Brewers bounced right back with a three-spot in the second. Bill Hall drew a one-out walk and quickly scored when Cameron ripped a double down the left field line. Bailey then issued another walk to Kendall before Suppan laid down a sacrifice bunt. Weeks followed with a two-run single to right and Milwaukee led 3-1.

Cincinnati evened things in the third after Votto got on with a one-out single and Bruce belted a two-run homer over the wall in dead center.

Game Notes:

The four hits for Weeks tied a career-high....Bruce now has a 10-game hitting streak for the Reds as does Milwaukee's Prince Fielder, who was 1-for-4 in the game...The Reds are 0-8 in Bailey's starts this year.
