$46M In Marijuana Eradicated

WOFFORD HEIGHTS, Calif. -- Thursday morning, officers from the Sheriff's Major Violators Unit, STC-HIDTA, and CAMP eradicated 11,426 mature marijuana plants being grown in 6 large gardens, the Kern County Sheriff's Department reported.The gardens were located on public property in the Sequoia National Forest, in the area of Basket Pass Rd and Rancheria Rd.
No suspects were seen in the area. The street value of the marijuana is estimated to be $46 million.
