$72.8M In Marijuana Eradicated

GLENNVILLE, Calif. -- In the early morning hours of Wednesday, deputies assigned to the Kern County Major Violators Unit and Officers from C.A.M.P. (Campaign Again Marijuana Planting) served search warrants in three different rural mountain locations.Two of the locations were near Alder Creek and the third location was near Cedar Creek.No suspects were located in the gardens.
One of the gardens appeared to have been abandoned approximately two weeks ago, the KCSD reported.Deputies said that they seized a total of 18,218 plants from the gardens.A C.A.M.P. helicopter was used for inserting Officers into two of the gardens and flying the seized marijuana out of the gardens.Deputies were also assisted by two U.S. Forest Service Officers.The estimated street value of the seized Marijuana is $72,872,000.
