$142M In Marijuana Eradicated In 2 Days

GLENNVILLE, Calif. -- Deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office Major Violator Unit and Officers from CAMP (Campaign Against Marijuana Growing) served two search warrants in the rural mountain area near Rancheria Road and Highway 155.Officers said they located two large marijuana grows and eradicated a total of 17,369 Marijuana plants.Due to the remoteness of the area, a CAMP helicopter was used to fly officers into the marijuana grows and to fly the eradicated marijuana out of the grows.
No suspects were located in the gardens.This is the second day CAMP and the Major Violators Unit were serving Marijuana garden search warrants in this area.On Wednesday, over 18,000 plants were seized, bringing the two day total of seized plants to 35,587.The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is $142,348,000.The investigations into these cases is continuing.Previous Marijuana Stories
