Woman Ejected From Vehicle, Dies

MOJAVE, Calif. -- A woman is killed when the vehicle she is riding in overturns and ejects her.On Friday around 9:56 a.m., Palmdale resident Edward Sirmons, 55, was traveling northbound State Route 14 north of Silver Queen Road.As Edward continued northbound, the California Highway patrol said he lost control of his 2006 Ford pickup and fifth wheel trailer.
Edward was unable to regain control of his truck and trailer, and it overturned, the CHP reported.As the vehicle overturned, the passenger, Judith Sirmons, 49, was ejected from the Ford pickup.Judith was not wearing her seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP reported.The CHP said that Edward was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital.
