TEHACHAPI, Calif. -- A head-on crash in Tehachapi sent three to the hospital, the CHP said.On Saturday, the California Highway Patrol said a 2007 Subaru Outback driven by Scott Kinney, 49, was traveling westbound on Banducci Road when, for an undetermined reason, he veered to the left and entered the eastbound lane of Banducci Road.Kinney's vehicle then collided head on with a 2005 Honda Civic driven by Christopher Marsik, 19, the CHP reported.
Kinney and his passenger, Earlene Kinney, 47, sustained severe injuries and were transported by Mercy Air Helicopter to Antelope Valley Hospital, the CHP reported.A 9-month-old boy riding with the Kinneys, identified as Riley Kinney, was in a car seat and sustained no apparent injuries, the CHP reported.Marsik also sustained severe injuries and was transported to Kern Medical Center by Mercy Air Helicopter, according to the CHP.All adult occupants were wearing their seatbelts, according to the CHP.
