LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. -- On Dec. 3, Deputy Mike Dorkin along with additional members of the California Multi-jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (CAL-MMET) conducted several enforcement investigations in the Lake Isabella area.

The investigations originated from citizen information and parole and probation terms.

Dorkin was the case agent who developed and coordinated the searches and subsequent arrests.

The results of Dorkin's investigations led to the arrest of five adults.

Three adults were booked into the Central Receiving Facility and two adults were cited and released on scene.

Arrested were:

Drew Berry, 39, white male - was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Cheryl Grubbs, 57, white woman - was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of parole.

Catherine Brown, 53, white woman - was arrested on charges of resisting and obstructing arrest.

Michael Prince, 38, white male - was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

David Grubbs, 38, white male - was issued a citation for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

The methamphetamine seized had a potential street value of $160 and the marijuana had a potential street value of $580, deputies said.
