Deputies Arrest 3 Glendale Men In Connection With Gas Fraud Ring

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Deputies from the Mojave Substation arrested three men from the Glendale area on charges of possession of fraudulent credit cards, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.Deputies said they've been working with officers from the Glendale Police Department in a four month long investigation concerning vehicles modified to store and transport large amounts of gasoline.The men would use fraudulently manufactured credit cards to steal fuel from various gas stations through out the Central and Southern California areas, deputies said.
Losses from the East Kern area are estimated to be $35,000.The men arrested on charges of possession of access card, possession of stolen property and conspiracy were identified by police as Toros Harutyunyan, 52, Hamlet Sandaldzhyan, 58, and Vardan Sandaldzhyan, 19.Judge Dellostritto set bail at $340,000 for each. All three men where booked into the Kern County Jail.Police said they are investigating whether more people were involved.
