BODFISH, Calif. -- A group of commercial rafters who had been shut for business by the Bull Fire found a second body Tuesday afternoon in the Kern River several miles from the staging area. They located the body of an unidentified man near the Hobo Flat campground, which is down a steep cliff from where Highway 178 widens to four lanes south of Bodfish, Ray Pruitt, a Sheriff's spokesperson, said.
The victim was found wearing dark jeans, a leather belt, dark shoes and socks, but no shirt. He was apparently in the water for some time, and it appears likely the victim drowned before yesterday, Pruitt said.
