Jazz Acquire G Knight From Clippers

(Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz acquired veteran point guard Brevin Knight from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for guard Jason Hart, the club announced Wednesday.

Knight appeared in 74 games for the Clippers this past season, averaging 4.6 points, 4.4 assists and 1.35 steals in 22.6 minutes per game.

Originally selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round (16th overall) of the 1997 NBA Draft, Knight, a product of Stanford, has averaged 7.9 points, 6.6 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.77 steals in 655 career regular season games with Cleveland, Atlanta, Memphis, Phoenix, Washington, Milwaukee, Charlotte and the Clippers.

Hart averaged 2.9 points and 1.5 assists in 57 games last season for Utah.
