Kings' Miller Suspended Five Games

New York, NY -- (Sports Network) - Sacramento Kings center Brad Miller was suspended for five games by the NBA on Thursday for violating the league's anti-drug program.Miller will begin his suspension with the first game of the upcoming season for which he's eligible and able to play. "I want to apologize to my family, teammates, fans and entire Kings organization," Miller said in a statement released by the team. "I made a mistake. It was an error in judgment and I'm very sorry. I regret it deeply. It's something I won't and can't take lightly. I hope to bounce back from this as a better person and I'm excited about the upcoming season." Last season Miller averaged 13.4 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in 72 games. Through 10 NBA seasons, Miller has posted averages of 12.1 points and 7.8 rebounds.
