BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Four males, two with assault rifles and one with a handgun, stormed Golden West Casino at 1101 South Union Avenue around 4:00 a.m. Thursday.

Witnesses reported four black males entered the business with their faces covered with homemade masks possibly made from shirts.

Two of the robbers were armed with AK-47 assault rifles, while one of the others had a handgun.

The robbers ordered all casino patrons and security onto the floor.

While patrons were on the floor, one of the robbers entered the casino cashier cage and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The robbers fled in a red Pontiac Grand Am that was abandoned a few blocks from the casino and left with the engine running.

The Grand Am had been reported stolen out of the Los Angeles area.

No patrons at Golden West Casino were injured.

Security cameras at the casino have the robbery on tape.

Deputies said the men should be considered armed and dangerous.
