Some building experts said building green is the fastest growing phenomenon in the home building industry ever.

A local businesswoman decided to jump on the band wagon and build her yoga studio the color that is making environmental headlines.

Paula Brown said while she was building her yoga studio in downtown Bakersfield she was as environmentally conscious as she could be.

Ninety percent of the materials used to build her shop, Yoga Spaces, are green, such as bamboo floors, nontoxic paint and fluorescent lighting.

Everything you need for your home or business is offered in non-toxic materials.

Some construction experts said building green improves indoor air quality and increases energy efficiency.

A downfall to building green is that materials can cost up to 20 percent more than traditional ones, but building green can get you tax break of up to $2,000.
