LOST HILLS -- Two women have died after their car slammed into a semi head-on.

It happened at around 2:30 Saturday afternoon on Highway 46 just east of Kecks Road.

According to the CHP, the driver of a car was traveling west on 46 when she lost control after passing a car and slid head-on into a semi.

One person was ejected on impact, but both people in the car died at the scene. The driver of the semi received minor injuries.

Both lanes of 46 were closed for more than an hour, while crews cleared the roadway.
