America's Most Wanted To Feature 'Brown Abduction Story'

In March 2005 a custody battle turned into an investigation when Tanya Diane Brown took her children and fled right before a judge was set to rule against her.

On March 18, 2005, Charles Brown's two daughters Kayleen and Myranda did not come home to Taft from spending a week with their mother, Tanya Diane Brown in Bakersfield. Instead, Brown took the children, along with three others from a previous marriage, and went on the run, according to law officials.

About two weeks after Brown and the children went missing, word spread that she was at a motel in San Ysidro, which is near the U.S.-Mexico border. But when police officers arrived to investigate, all they found were belongings such as Brown's driver's license, credit cards and her daughter Tori's diary, which discussed their new life on the run.

On one page was a cry for help.

Anyone with any information as to Tanya Brown's whereabouts is urged to call local law enforcement or the district attorney’s investigative unit.

An episode of “America's Most Wanted,” featuring the Brown abduction story is scheduled to air Nov. 24.
