BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Kern County coroner said it appears a man who walked naked outside of a hotel did not die from any related causes after a sheriff’s deputy shocked him with a Taser.Garrett Farn, 41, began knocking on doors while naked, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Department. They said he tried to force himself into hotel rooms at the Koko's Motel on Mount Pinos Way in Frazier Park. The man then struggled with sheriff's deputies, they said, and was shocked with a Taser.
They also said once he was in the patrol car, he kicked out a window. The man was brought to Kern Medical Center for observation, but his condition worsened. Then Farn died unexpectedly Thursday. An autopsy was performed but officials are waiting for toxicology results before an exact cause of death can be determined.
