BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Dozens of PTA members got together in front of Assemblywoman Jean Fuller's office on Friday to protest Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's proposed education budget cuts.

The California Teachers Association made the same stop earlier this week in their six-week bus tour across the state in hopes to persuade politicians not to eliminate almost $5 billion in education funding.

The PTA members were hoping to send the same message to Fuller.

PTA members said Assemblywoman Fuller has agreed to a private meeting with them on May 9.
