TEHACHAPI, Calif. -- A teacher at a Tehachapi middle school is on paid administrative after allegations of simple battery on a student.

Police said that so far the claims against math teacher Eric Trillo from Jacobsen Middle School are unsubstantiated.

School officials said the allegations came after a teacher, who police confirmed was Trillo, disciplined a student on a school bus after last Thursday's career fair.

The incident is still being investigated.
