BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A water main has broke on Stockdale Highway near Buena Vista Road at the Park at River Walk.

Three lanes of Stockdale Highway are closed after a water main broke, flooding the road.

Apparently construction crews were working on a backhoe when they hit the main water line and it broke.

It is recommended that commuters avoid the area.
