Local Men Face Murder Charges In Idaho

BOISE, Id. -- Two Bakersfield men were arraigned on murder charges Monday in connection with a homicide last month in Idaho.Stanley Hahn, 44, and John Green, 28, now face first-degree murder charges in addition to the second-degree kidnapping charges they were already facing relating to the death of Douglas Halpin in Meridian, Id. on April 6.The other woman involved, Karen Miller, who has ties to the Tehachapi area, does not currently face murder charges, but is charged with first-degree kidnapping in connection with the case.
Police found Halpin tied up and beaten to death inside Halpin's home.Hahn and Green have not pled to the charges in court. Under Idaho law, they would not enter a plea until the preliminary hearing.
