Check-Cashing Robberies May Be Connected

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Two check-cashing places have been hit by robbers in two days and now police said the two robberies could be related.

Police said the first robbery happened Monday afternoon at Check Into Cash on Ming Avenue.

A woman walked into the store, demanded money and took off, police said.

They said the second robbery happened early in the evening on Tuesday at a Check N Go, also on Ming Avenue.

This time two women walked into the store and demanded money, according to police.

Police said because of their descriptions and similar situations the two robberies may be connected.
