Grass Spontaneously Combusts, House Catches Fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A trailer full of grass and hay caught on fire from spontaneous combustion on Friday then spread to a home in south Bakersfield.Just after noon, Bakersfield fire crews said the attic of a home on Tyndall Avenue was fully engulfed in flames.They said the grass in the trailer dried out and generated enough heat, then ignited, spreading to the home.
No one was in the home at the time of the blaze.
