On Tuesday, Johnston walked through the rubble of the place she once called home. Only ash and burned remains of furniture were left. Now all the furniture from a brand new Lenox home will be given to her and her family. The owners of Lenox Homes, Dave and Linda Cates, saw the ABC23 story about the house fire and decided to help out.On Wednesday, Johnston took a different kind of tour, this time of a five bedroom home. She will receive every piece of furniture in the house, which has an approximate value of $20,000.The Cates said that even though the housing market is slow, they have been blessed and just want to give back.Generosity has also come from other community members too. The Red Cross said numerous calls of donations have come in.“It truly put faith back into my heart,” said Johnston.Dave and Linda Cates are no strangers to giving. Their company, Lenox Homes, is the builder of the Saint Jude Dream Home, which they've also built in the past.
