Report: Teen Birth Rates Increasing

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A new report shows that California's teen birth rate has increased for the first time in 15 years.The report also said that teens in state Sen. Dean Florez's district have the highest birth rate in the state.The study by the Public Health Institute ranked teen birth rates in the state by senate districts. Florez's district covers parts of the counties of Kern, Tulare, Fresno and Kings.
State Sen. Roy Ashburn's district ranked fifth. His district includes parts of Kern, Inyo, San Bernadino and Tulare counties.
