New Swim School Offers Drowning Prevention Training

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- One local facility is offering water safety and drowning prevention training.The Bakersfield Swim Club has an extensive training program designed for children ages six months and up.They officially dedicated their indoor training facility Thursday on Allen Road. Mayor Harvey Hall and members of the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce were on-hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The organization has produced a number of Olympic swimmers from Kern County, including Gabe Woodward and Larsen Jensen. For information call 661-637-1403.
