BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A cold case from nearly two decades ago is back open again though the suspected killer of a 4-year old girl is already in prison.

Police found the body of Jessica Martinez in a field south of Bakersfield 18 years ago.

Now investigators believe a man on death row for murder may be the killer.

Investigators said they have swabbed the suspect, Christopher Lightsey for DNA, but the results won't be known for several months.

Police said Lightsey moved into the same apartment complex on Belle Terrace just one week before Martinez went missing.
