Following the death of a local farm worker from heat-related symptoms, state Sen. Dean Florez wants answers from the victim’s employer.

Florez wrote a letter to Sunview Vineyards asking for a firsthand account of the company's practices and training.

The letter comes after the death of farm worker Abdon Felix. Emergency crews found Felix slumped over his car's steering wheel.

He later died at Delano Regional Medical Center with a core body temperature of 108 degrees.
