Couple Found Dead In Bakersfield Home
Investigators Call Deaths 'Homicide'

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Police said a man and woman were found dead in a southwest Bakersfield home Wednesday afternoon.Sgt. Greg Terry of the Bakersfield Police Department said the couple, believed to be in their 70s, were found at about 1 p.m., after family members were unable to contact them and called police.Neighbors identified the couple as Joe and Dorothy Parrott, who like many of them in the neighborhood on Durham Court, were retired.
Several neighbors said they saw the Parrotts as recently as Tuesday.Officers said they were only able to give limited information, but believe the deaths are a homicide. Investigators would not release any information about a possible motive or even how the Parrotts were killed.Anyone with information is asked to call Bakersfield police at 661-327-7111.
