ARVIN -- The California Highway Patrol is searching for a Lamont man who patrol officers say caused a fatal accident and then fled the scene.

Hugo Flores Acosta, 20, is believed to have caused a rollover accident on Bear Mountain Boulevard east of Tower Line Road that killed passenger Manuel Gomez Morales Sunday afternoon.

Acosta has not had any contact with his family since the accident, according to Officer Greg Williams of the CHP.
