Elaina was born and raised in Sacramento, and spent summers growing up in Ventura and visiting family in Ridgecrest.

Elaina graduated from Chico State in 2006 with a major in Journalism with a concentration in News Editorial and a minor in Psychology.

She completed seven media internships while in college, spanning across radio, television, and newspaper. Elaina also spent a semester abroad in London studying Fine Arts and Humanities.

After graduation she started her career in Yakima, WA as a producer. Then after a few months there, she jumped to a reporter/anchor position in Lawton, OK for a year and a half. Elaina wears several hats here in Bakersfield, working as a live reporter, videojournalist, anchor, producer and weather forecaster.

Elaina has fallen in love with Bakersfield, and when she’s not working, you can find her out with friends at local restaurants and shops, screaming at Condors games, or playing at the park with her puppy Emmy.
